A year ago, Chanel Contos posed a question to her Instagram followers asking, 'If you live in Sydney; Have you or has anyone close to you ever experienced sexual assault from someone who went to an all boys school?' The response was overwhelming with 73% saying yes, since then she has been sent over 6,700 testimonies.

Unknowingly, she had changed the Australian school curriculum forever.

After receiving such a massive response Chanel founded Teach Us Consent movement, to call on local MPs and the Australian government to mandate consent education in the school curriculum. Chanel believes education is key in reducing assault cases and giving young people tools to understand consent and boundaries.
